I have some music files that were encoded with an early version of the Nero AAC encoder. Most players are showing them to have a sample rate of 22050 Hz (but all of them don't care very much about that and simply play them at the real rate of 44100). Gmmp, however, seems to be a bit too clever here.
I could send you one of these files for investigation...

sure you can send some test files to gonemadsoftware@gmail.com, but if they do report the wrong samplerate, they were encoded incorrectly and the behavior you are seeing is what I would expect. GMMP reads the samplerate from the file in order to construct the output audio track to output the audio. Most music players use the standard audio player that comes with the android api, gmmp does not

i wouldnt say that.. gmmp is doing what the file is telling it to do lol
but yea i can take a look at some sample files at some point

we found a solution via email. opensl was turned on at the time and it ws causing the issues. opensl should only ever be used if the default settings have issues. ffmpeg is the core of gonemad's audioengine and you want to use that for decoding whenever possible... so inconclusion.. dont use opensl unless you really need it
