New GoneMad user here.... The "GoneMad playing on this phone" notification won't go away. Been sitting there bugging me for a week. Firstly, this seems odd, because other music players I've used that have notifications will have some kind of "Stop" button front and centre that makes it go away. The only button I can see is a triangle play button. Secondly, I've gone into GoneMad advanced settings and unchecked "Show when paused... Notification will stay when playback is paused"... so I don't understand why I'm getting a notification anyway... and thirdly... the notification itself seems odd... there are 5 breadcrumb dots at the bottom of the expanded notification... when I swipe through those 5 "screens" it shows the exact same song 5 times. What the purpose of this is I have no idea. Maybe it's your music queue or something, but why show the same song 5 times if that's the reason.

Hmm... I didn't realise it was an Android 11 thing... My Samsung doesn't have that gear icon.. not sure what Samsung's done... Be that as it may, I think there is something wrong with GoneMad... Poweramp doesn't act quite so bizarre. For example, as I was saying the media control has 5 copies of GoneMad the same song as you swipe left and right. If I click to go to the next song, the other 4 copies stay on the old song. If I press the play icon on one of the other copies, nothing happens. Poweramp doesn't do this.
Also, if I pause PowerAmp from within the app, the notification goes away. Not so for Gonemad.

again.. thats an android bug (the multiple notifications for a single app). GMMP follows all the api documentation, so there is nothing i can change on my end to fix that. the multiple notifications only would happen when the app was being force killed by the OS. Assuming you turn off any power saving features, this hsouldnt happen. When android 11 came out i was getting like 2-3 notifications, but they eventually patched it
there is nothing i can do to change this behavior, regardless of how poweramp works

I've just installed Android 12, and GoneMad notifications are now behaving rationally... so that's great.
However, the Notifications: "Show when Paused" has no effect when unchecked, it still doesn't go away. It has no effect that I can see.
Poweramp's similar setting does work. PlayerPro's similar setting does work.
Might I gently suggest that there's a bug and/or there is something you don't know about how to affect the removal of the notification?
