Thanks for a superb music player - I think its the best one I have tried, and the only one that can handle very large numbers of files without any fuss - and gapless too - great!
This is the second of two requests I would like to make. (Other posted separately in this Forum)
I have a large collection of albums, many of which have front, back, inside and multiple booklet pages - these are always stored in a subfolder 'Artwork' of the album folder it belongs to. I would like an easy way to browse this artwork folder on my tablet whilst listening to the album - e.g. using QuickPic. Would it be possible add this function to the 'Customize Gestures' section, e.g. 'Browse Album Art Folder'?
Maybe once triggered this function would allow the user to manually navigate to the artwork folder and browse it using their preferred image viewer. Browsing would by default start in the folder of the currently playing album, allowing quick, easy and intuitive access.
Currently no player I have tried allows this - all assume the existence of the front/main cover only.
Thanks.

I could make a minor modification of the "local image search" to include subfolders (or perhaps just a subfolder named Artwork/Art/AlbumArt). Right now it just scans the folder that the song is contained in and doesnt dig into any subfolders. Would that work? This would also improve
There should already be a gesture action for "Show Album Art" and then you would press on the drop down at the top and select local image search

Thanks for your suggested solution for allowing the image search function to reach subfolders. Using this method for my Artwork subfolders I will get results similar to the example in the screenshot below. (Artwork has been placed in the root folder at the moment for purposes of example.) Although this will make it easy see the full artwork in a scrollable screen, it would not be possible view the images full screen or of course zoom in as they are constrained in the square boxes. This is a very neat interface for selecting artwork for the main cover, but not so good for detailed reading and viewing of high resolution images fullscreen. Is it possible to somehow get quick access to the image folder by triggering a selectable default viewer such as QuickPic, when a such a gesture action for the currently playing album is made? If this is not possible then your suggestion to allow access to subfolders using "local image search" would be appreciated. Great app! Thanks. Attachments:

so you are looking for a way to just view the images in another tool? as opposed to just looking at the images to choose which one to show in now playing
android makes it easy to open external tools to view things so i would assume that would be doable as well

Yes that's correct - my request is for viewing the artwork only - your current setup for selecting an album front cover to show in "Now Playing" is perfect - no changes needed at all there (i.e. subfolder access is not necessary). I feel it is confusingly labelled though - would "Select Album Cover" be easier for users to understand what its function is? What I'd love see is an additional function which will allow users to view all the artwork available for their currently playing album in their favourite Android image viewer, in my case QuickPic. After looking further at the player would the following be a good way to do it: SCENARIO User is in "Now Playing" listening to an album... then... They gesture the action "Jump To Playing Menu" and select "Folder" (as implemented in v1.4 Beta2)... after being switched to the GMMP File Browser... User can manually navigate to their album art/info in parent or subfolders, in my case subfolder 'Artwork' (see GMMP Screenshot 2 below)... User clicks on an image file - this opens an external Android image viewer of the user's choice in the usual way - e.g. QuickPic - and away they go!... All that's missing is that currently no image filenames show up in the GMMP File Browser - so could they be shown - perhaps being included/hidden as a preference? (filenames only would be fine). If this were done it would making browsing contextual artwork and other info for the album currently playing a breeze - no other Android player I've tried can do this - another unique feature?! Finally, if possible could other file types also be allowed to be shown, e.g. .pdf, .txt, etc. as album info is occasionally stored in these formats also? What do you think? Attachments:

Any further thoughts on this? Would it be straightforward allow image filenames to show up in the GMMP File Browser as a preference - and be opened by an external image viewer app?
I have used the image search function and can now see all the artwork but as described above it is hard to see any detail.
