I use GMMP on a car tablet while driving, so it is imperative I don't have to look at the screen to switch between apps. To this end, I am using GMD gesture control to alt+tab between the tabs. Not sure when it exactly started happening, but I have this strange issue as of late: every attempt to alt+tab into GMMP would fail and land me into other apps in the app switcher queue. Turns out GMMP no longer resides anywhere in the app switcher. What could have possibly caused this? I haven't really made any changes to the in-app settings or anything else pertaining to GMMP. Please look into this when you can, thank you!

alright, got it figured out!
I kinda lied about making no changes lately, I did use tasker to open one of my playlists on tablet wakeup from resumed power (acc on). When opened in this manner, GMMP seems to be treated like a separate instance - if I manually launch GMMP, it would momentarily appear in the recent apps list, only to vanish once I switch to another app. In a way, the instance opened from the playlist (the one that does NOT show in the recent apps list) takes the priority if that makes sense. A simple fix to this was to include another line in my tasker wakeup sequence: launch GMMP first before opening the playlist. Problem solved, voila!
