I have been using GoneMad Music Player for more than a year. I paid for the Unlocked version. I use the GoneMad Music Player on Android Auto (on Android version 9 on Xiaomi Mi A2 Android phone) in my car. It has been great except for one anomaly. I configured the Effects->Equalizer and I saved the configuration. After some time (e.g. a few hours to a few days), the Effects->Equalizer settings are all reset to zero, even though the Equalizer is showing the name of the saved configuration. I have to select Default (Flat) and then my saved configuration to set the Equalizer again.

Is this a software bug or a system issue? Have you encountered such an issue before?

In the 3.0 alpha? This is a thread for that. That issue should only be 2.x (cant figure out how to fix it so most of it was rewritten for 3.0)

3.0 Alpha 7c (03-12-2019):

-Added shuffle to context menu in most views
-Added shuffle to multi select action menu for most views
-Added Enqueue All On Selection advanced setting
-Added Database Stats in the advanced scanner settings
-Added rating to multi select actions for tracks, files, and folders
-Default smart playlists are now correctly installed if they dont exist

-Removed unused tag editor option in playlist list context menu
-Removed unused song info context menu option for playlist files in folder view
-Folder view should now use the selected scan paths for the top level folders

-External write access is now checked before rating a file
-Playback should no longer pause while saving rating/tags for most audio formats
-Deleting files should no longer trigger a full scan
-Fixed smart playlist crash when using some non random sort orders

Thanks for the continued updates, still using the alpha as my daily player.

A minor UI issue: when in album view at certain grid sizes the shuffle FAB obscures the overflow (three dots) menu on the fourth (bottom right) album

Thanks. The FAB is supposed to disappear when you scroll up but in your case since the albums basically fit in a single window it must not trigger it to disappear

-Skip count added to song info dialog
-Disc number added to the tag editor for folders
-Added full composer support including composer view
-View order customization option to the library view. Can choose the tabs and the order

-Fixed a bunch of issues in smart playlists with random sort order
-Smart playlists should now be listed in alphabetical order

Great update, the Composer option is a big plus. I was able to add it, and after re-scanning my library all showed up as expected. However once a Composer is selected, the Album list is blank. The Song list is fine and has the correct titles under the selected composer. Any suggestions?

Its possible i missed the composer album linking jn the scanner. Ill take a look. The screens i posted were from using the tag editor

Yup that was it. Scanner only does the track to composer linking, tag editing does both track and album. Will fix in 8a

Confirmed, I was able to edit the tag, then that album appears. Good to know it was a quick fix for you to link the scanner for a future update.

Nice to have the edit capabilities back for the library headers, too. This works as expected. As always, appreciate your work and thank you.

album covers scale fine on 90% of devices.. its not a priority.. some time in the beta
