Weird question for y'all - is anybody experiencing reboots with Android Auto + GoneMAD? I haven't troubleshot it much yet, but if I've been using GoneMAD, and then plug my phone into my car with Android Auto, my phone reboots (sometimes). Before I blame GoneMAD, curious if anybody else has seen this issue (with GoneMAD or just with Android Auto in general - it may be having issues with something else) Thanks! Eckless fyi its not possible for gmmp to reboot your phone (or any non system app)

Found two issues since moving to alpha 6. On the Now Playing screen, a long press on the album art does not bring up any context menu, but goes straight to a delete function. Fortunately there is a confirmation request to decline. The other is also on the Now Playing screen, when hiding the Android navigation buttons the album art scales larger than the screen width and cuts off the edges, instead of increasing the area for the metadata. Not sure if either are due to the early stages of the alpha and to be addressed in later stages. But thought I’d send you the heads up. Thanks for the update, the delete function is handy to have back. GB

GB the gesture library gmmp is using seems bugged on some devices. on my xz2 the long press works fine and brings up the jump to, but double tap does not work the majority of the time (which is for delete). as for the scaling for the art.. yea that happens should eventually be fixed. the art ratio is set specifically for a few diff screen sizes / ratios, but that stays the same when the nav area is removed.. when the nav area is removed there is more space available so the same ratio will look weird.

is there an option to filter the 'the' out of artist's names so that "The Beatles" will appear under B instead of under T

Okay good to know these are something you are already aware of. Once the ratios are dealt with, having the extra space available if the artwork doesn’t scale past the edges will be good for metadata text. Currently not having the track number and count available in the alpha is something I miss from the current release version. But it is looking good, like everything so far. GB

GB i have the underlying framework for custom text basically everywhere (i think its the WIP 1 post that explains it more). I just hard coded all the layouts for now. During the beta i'll add UIs that let you customize all the metadata views for the most part. A lot of the customization UIs are gonna take awhile to make so its something i wanted to put off until all the main features were back into 3.0 In general i know its been a long time that I've been working on 3.0 and it will probably be a lot longer until its done, but i feel when im done its going to be a damn good player. I've learned a lot since i first released gmmp, so im trying to approach every capability in the best possible fashion which does take time. I also have a 1 year old running around my house which does limit my dev time haha

Something else's fault. Yay fun troubleshooting ahead.

Is there a way to sort all songs by an artist by album and year in descending order (like in 2.x the year desc option)? If I choose "album year" and tick descending order the years are correct but the album tracks get reversed as well (last track is the frist). The first 2 pics are v2.2.17 and the last one is 3.0 alpha 6 (sorry it's not in english, I couldn't find where to change language).

sounds like a bug (or most likely just oversight on my part.. applying the descending order for all categories instead of just the album year). i'll fix it for alpha 7

When will hi-res support, when will there be a normal display of the cover? What you do is complete nonsense, you are at least three years behind. So far, the full trash, even the second version is better.

So far, the full trash, even the second version is better. I never promised hi-res support would be worked on by a specific time (and i've cleared stated 3.0 will not have any significant audioengine changes) and no clue what "normal display of the cover" means. Cover displays quite normally for me. Being a dick will not get me to change priorities on what I am working on, but it is certainly a good way to get me to ignore you. I develop android apps as a hobby and am under no obligation to work on anything I do not want to work on.
