Well after trying loads of players, this is now my new daily player - and I've jumped straight into the Alpha testing - I'll give the player a good thrashing over the next few days - one initial query - hopefully the abaility to ignore "The" at the start of artist name will be included in later builds? yeah at some point. my focus is on getting all the major functionality in place before readding most of the lesser used features/customizations from 2.x Cool - I thought I may have missed the setting somewher, so good to know it isn't there at all - sort of! v3 looking nice |

Is the Design of version 3 fully completed yet? If not i can suggest you to take a look at the sony music application (Link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.music ) This is, in my opinion, the cleanest Music Application I've ever used. Although GMMP 3.x already looks much like that and got really clean, the real "premium" look is missing in some cases. Maybe some features like the blurred backgroud (taken from album Art) can be implemented in GMMP too. It would definitely give GMMP a more upperclass look. I've spent no time making the UI look pretty or getting smooth transitions. The focus of the alpha is functionality

Edit - as the forum didn't like links to Google photos OK - I don't think this has been reported before but the play order gets totally scrambled at times This is as it is, when I select the first track and is correct GoodThis is it, when I select the three dots from Album view>>Play BadSome Albums are fine - others are always like this - the ones I have found so far are Ogg Vorbis - but not all OV Albums are like this - I've yet to find a MP3 I'll keep playing |

I would imagine some of your music has track numbers before it which is why they play correctly |

Ah - that makes sense - I guess this is on the list to sort - I couldn't work out what was the common link between those that played in the tagged order and those that didn't - but most of my music does have the number, with leading zeroes, at the start - only more recent ones don't.

fix will be in alpha 5. it appears playing artists and genres would ignore their corresponding sort order as well

Quick question - is there a way to get around the "trial expired" message in the alpha? I have purchased the unlocker (for version 2) but they aren't compatible.

shouldnt have any issues then. the validation code is the same as 2.x. What is the actual message that pops up?

Unfortunately I can't get at it right now -- I factory-resetted my phone yesterday to take care of this issue and a couple others. From memory, it said "Trial Expired", some text, and had a link to the Google Play store. Installing the unlocker didn't help (it said the version was incompatible). |

oh! ha.. so install gmmp 2.x alongside the alpha and it'll work. Validation code is not comparing the alpha and unlocker's signature, but 2.x and the unlocker signature... so you need 2.x. I will fix this in next alpha so 2.x can be removed

Ok - i HAD 2.x and 3 Alpha - no nags - I removed 2.x as there was confusion over Intents when headphones were plugged in/out - I realize as I type I need to disable those settings on 2.x - so I removed 2.x - and still no nags on 3 - is that to be expected?
