im gonna add something else tonight that may help with these errors
rror8 = Sat Mar 10 13:46:33 NZDT 2012 - M3UFile - Cannot find Music/Adrenaline Mob/Omerta/Freight Train.mp3 from playlist error13 = Sat Mar 10 13:46:34 NZDT 2012 - M3UFile - Cannot find Music/Queensryche/Dedicated To Chaos/Higher.mp3 from playlist error14 = Sat Mar 10 13:46:34 NZDT 2012 - M3UFile - Cannot find Music/Queensryche/Dedicated To Chaos/Retail Therapy.mp3 from playlist
i'll have gmmp attempt to take the filename in the playlist.. and append it to the scan paths that are set.
This would allow Music/Adrenaline Mob/Omerta/Freight Train.mp3 to be recognized as /sdcard/Music/Adrenaline Mob/Omerta/Freight Train.mp3 (or /mnt/storage/Music/Adrenaline Mob/Omerta/Freight Train.mp3 not sure what the external directory defaults do on your device)

Version 1.2 installed, UI looks great!
The new version is not reporting the track freezes in the error log. Going to rebuild library tonight and keep checking

do me a favor and next time a freeze happens.. immediately go to the error log and just send in a report.. i get additional information than what shows in that error list

Hey, GoneMad, You might want to close this post now, not gona waste our time anymore with the default mediaplayer, if im using Gmmp then I should be using its audioengine and using its features!
The newest version is behaving much better when I turn on 2 bands on EQ, the music is still skipping but not as much as it used too, all audio options (priorty & Buffer) at highest setting.
No longer suffering the tracks stopping all the time.
Will start a new thread on the skipping issue, can you make an ULTRA high setting on the buffer option? Could this help? Just an Archos option
Thanks

if its the same issue i had.. the different size buffers really didnt have any effect. The archos was able to read and decode the audio in plenty of time. The pause was happening in the call i make to tell the OS to play the audio. I pass it in the audio buffer and it will do who knows what.. but the pause was happening there

okay I figured out the random stopping. After you mentioned you were using flac.. i did some testing and figured it out
with the audioengine off by default(which means mp3 mp4 ogg etc uses the built in media player) if you play a flac file (which will use the audioengine no matter what since the media player doesnt support it)... followed by an mp3.. it will stop after the flac finishes.. there must be an issue switching between the audioengine and the media player
so for the time being.. you can turn the audioengine off to reduce skipping.. and create playlists that are just mp3.. or just flac
i'll have a fix in the next patch
