Huge long shot but are there any plans to add SAMBA share browsing ? Thanks! I havent specifically thought about samba share browsing but I do know at some point i wanted to add in support for listening to audio out on the network/internet. So samba would fall in line with that

Yeah, I agree LAN streaming would be a nice addition, maybe DLNA/UPNP as well. I thought I posted that already but I can't find that anywhere here on the forum.

Awesome!!
I hope you don't mind but I sent in a "tip" to Droid-Life about GMMP. I don't know if it will peak their interest but who knows, maybe they'll feature it in their blog and drive some business your way. I usually don't do things like that but your player has far exceeded my expectations and I think it deserves some recognition.

I'd really love for a review site or blog at least do a small writeup. I never really gotten any responses in the past when I've tried, so im just concentrating on making the best app I can and hope people will eventually take notice. Thanks!

A few notes (regarding 1.3.1 version): . options - scanner - info database gets you to an English language popup; .most of the times, Album Art (and therefore Album Art background) doesn't change in case of multi-album (and random) play; .I revised most of the translations: please remove "gonemadsoftware" entries for Italian language and poll #1 translations (I had a few translations I made listed as 2nd and so not used, in favour of robot-generated ones...); .playlist doesn't seem to stick when I reboot device (always reverting to a very old one). Good work nonetheless!

Good work nonetheless! i'll go through and update the translations I have not been able to reproduce an instance of the album art not changing.. there might be a case if the device runs out of memory (so it cannot create the next image) that there might not be a transition.. but at that point its supposed to just switch to the default background. Check the error log to see if anything comes up. database stats might still be hardcoded instead of grabbing the translations.. i'll switch it if thats the case "playlist doesn't seem to stick when I reboot device (always reverting to a very old one)." I'm not sure how thats possible.. the playlist storage is completely cleared when playing something new... I've heard of cases where some songs are missing when first starting gmmp after a boot, and that happens when you have things in the playlist that were unable to be scanned into the database. I'd almost recommend uninstalling and reinstalling to see if the issue is still there.

I tried and recreate the whole database, discarded downloaded album art and now looks like it's fine, sorry about that. About disappearing playlist, I'll let you know when I find out how to reproduce that exactly. Thanks once again!

Hello, a simple question: is GMMP compatible to A2DP standards? To be more precise, does it support AVRCP 1.3, HFP and HSP? I'm trying to connect my tablet to a BT Plus enabled car audio (Alpine, see specs here www.alpine.uk.com/p/Products/cd-head-units19/cde-133bt ) but even though I can stream music I can't see album/artist/song info: do you have any idea why? Or do you know where I can check on my tablet/ROM to see compatibility to AVRCP 1.3, HFP and HSP?

hm thought i responded to this earlier. I'll look into the specifics but i know google added something for 4.0 that lets me broadcast out that information. Im not sure if its available for the older OS versions but i'll take a look

Thanks, that would be great. Please let me know as soon as you find out that information. GMMP supports this: developer.android.com/sdk/android-4.0.htmlscroll down to Remote control client. That is fully implemented. There is no information as to whether that the populates the info supported in AVRCP 1.3. A google search showed the only AVRCP 1.3 support was available through custom roms and even then there was no information about how a developer actually sends the info to it. edit: Actually it looks like cyanogenmod and aokp are using the scrobble info that music players broadcast to populate the metadata. GMMP def supports scrobbling so it would most likely work in one of those roms

Do the skins need to be updated again for 1.3.1? Mine stopped working. EDIT: Nevermind....working now...just uninstalled & re-installed them and now they're working.
