Thanks! It's totally working and everything now. Though I do have one other slight comment: given that you've set it so labels wrap as needed (which is fine), if you take advantage of the font size option to enlarge the font a bit, and more than one of the labels wraps, it'll start pushing things off the screen, which is also fine. My nitpicky comment: the only place that shows the current repeat/shuffle state is the bottom, which gets most easily pushed off. Might I suggest either drawing it off to the side (over text, if you have to; it's small anyway), or even better, if possible, just having the buttons themselves look visibly toggled? You'll be glad to hear, too: you seem to have fixed the issue I mentioned wherein some folders in the Artists browser displayed songs by artists other than the one I clicked on, yay! (Or it just magically fixed itself. Either way, it's fixed.) So, just that nitpick, the couple other enhancements, and the crash I'm about to file, and this will be a completely perfect android audio-player. I already can't imagine life without it, but until you can filter by only one category (just by artist, not by artist and then album, or just by genre, not by genre then artist then album), and until you can shuffle until you find a song you like, then with one click, get to that song in the artist or album list, or the file browser (or even just the file browser!), I'll complain about those periodically . (Note, those weren't new requests; just describing the use cases for my existing requests that haven't been implemented yet.) Anyway, thanks! "and until you can shuffle until you find a song you like, then with one click, get to that song in the artist or album list, or the file browser (or even just the file browser!)" at some point there will be something to jump directly to the artist/album currently playing from the nowplaying screen " but until you can filter by only one category (just by artist, not by artist and then album, or just by genre, not by genre then artist then album)" im not sure what you mean by this.. are you talking about how when you are in the genre view and you click on a genre it will go to the artists? You can long press any of the genres and play/play next/enqueue.. same goes with the artist and album views yea im not really too sure what to do about the metadata going off the screen on the larger font sizes.. but i can look into moving the shuffle/repeat icons to somewhere that does not get bumped off the screen.. or some other way to indicate they are enabled anyway I am glad you are enjoying the player

im not sure what you mean by this.. are you talking about how when you are in the genre view and you click on a genre it will go to the artists? You can long press any of the genres and play/play next/enqueue.. same goes with the artist and album views I'm talking about browsing them. I go to the genre view, I can play a whole genre, but I can't just see every song tagged with that genre so as to pick a song or two to enqueue. The genre example is sort of silly, but the artist example far less so - sometimes you're looking for a particular song, you can't remember the exact name of it or which album it was on, but you know the artist. In many other players (for instance, the native Archos player), you could look up the artist, then at the top would be an (All Titles), that would show you everything tagged with that artist tag, regardless of album or whether it even had an album. That's what I'm looking for. Again, that was the same request as the very first request I posted (#1 in my first post), I was just explaining why I might want that. As far as other things you could do about metadata going off the screen... the native player just forces everything to one line per field, and if it doesn't fit on that line, tough luck. I think that's worse than your current implementation. My previous mp3 player's native player, forced each field onto one line, and if a field didn't fit on that line, started doing that silly marquee animation type thing, moving back and forth between the start and end of the field. Guaranteed to show all the information... but looked kind of silly. I honestly don't think the way you do it now is so bad (other than the location of the shuffle icon.)

It should be fairly straight forward to make it so you can just press the text to jump to the artist. I will probably have an option to turn that on/off since technically that area responds to gestures as well and might confuse some user Hey, I'm gonna be that annoying person and bump my request; hope that's alright with you. Only cause it's been a while, you said it should be straightforward, and the lack of this one simple thing leads to me spending time fiddling with the browser constantly, and wishing constantly that I could do this. (Or, even if there was just an option to have the file browser always show the location of the current song, without clicking anything. That'd work too.) When that's in, I can call your player done, and give you more money for the finished product. (Unless you already added it and just didn't mention it, as I haven't updated to the current version yet. In which case, durr, I'm a dumb. I figured you'd mention it, though.)

pressing the metadata on nowplaying to jump directly to a section keeps getting pushed back due to various reasons..
but
1.3 will feature a menu option in the browser to "jump to playing" which will hop straight to the folder of the playing file. Also the first time visiting the browser when opening the app will jump straight to the playing folder.
There will also be an indicator next to the playing file (its just a small play icon)

Awesomeness. 1.3 will be when I get to call it finished, then, yay! (Though I'll still obviously update to new versions when I think of it.)
