one thing to note with the build i gave you.. if you use the scrobbling feature.. it might double post your songs. Apparently the intents sent out for avrcp 1.3 are also picked up by simple last fm scrobbler.. so i was getting some double scrobbles last night. I'll have a solution for that before its posted on the play store

Thanks for the notice. I don't use scrobbling so I'll just keep using the test build until you release the next version to the play store.

actually i just checked out how poweramp handles this and it scrobbles twice if you have the simple last.fm setting enabled. So I will probably just reset the value in the config

It might be an issue with your rom because i've fully implemented the only known ways to support avrcp 1.3

Today I noticed that when cross fading is enabled (5000ms in my case) , the AVRCP title change happens quite late. Technically it is probably correct, but it is quite disturbing if you notice the change, glance over to the display but still see the old tile display for a good while. It would be much better if the title changed once the next one is started to be faded in, or when n% the total cross fading duration has elapsed (yay, new config option... )

i might be able to change at the beginning of the crossfade but i dont know if that would mess anythign up (a lot of stuff is triggered when the track change is signaled) Please look into this. I think it would be equally beneficial for the "now playing" display if it was updated earlier. I do understand that technically you really want the track change thing to happen when the last track *really* has completed. Perhaps it helps for the required refactoring to define the track change as the moment when a track starts. If there is X-fade work to do on behalf of a possibly existing previous track, then the audio data for it should be buffered somewhere and merged with the current one. (Interesting corner case: what if the next track is shorter than the x-fade time?)

As it is now there are a few problems that i can see being caused by moving the track change to when the crossfade starts:
1) You are still able to seek the track during the crossfade.. so what happens if during those last 5 seconds the user moves the seek bar back to the middle of the song. The UI would have changed tracks but the old song still plays
2) The track change triggers the next song (song after the one being crossfaded into) to be queued into the audioengine. The engine only handles the current playing track and the next playing track. By queuing this in.. it would change the song being crossfaded into and everything would get all messed up.
Now what i mentioned above can be solved with some significant rework to the engine, but I didnt plan on doing any major changes to the design anytime soon. I'll see if i can think of a quick solution, otherwise it might not be awhile until i can change it
there is a check if the crossfade time is longer than the next track, i THINK it will throw an error and skip to the next track. I dont have the code in front of me to check now.. but it should be handled

Anycase, do I have any setting regarding to the android security screen? Slide, pin, nothing?
