I've running the currently latest version of GoneMAD (3.1.3) and I've encountered an odd bug that I can't figure out. One of my compilation albums is split by artist in the Albums screen (see attachment). I have quite a lot of compilation albums where the artist differs and this split doesn't occur for them, so I'm not sure what it is about this particular case that is tripping GoneMAD up. All the tracks for this album are in the same folder, and the album title and year are identical. I have the tags stripped back to the bare minimum so there's very little to look at in terms of differentiators... any tips? Attachments:

simonrana You need to ensure the “AlbumArtist” tag is the same for all tracks. In this case it should be “Various Artists” for all. It looks like “The Beatles” track either doesn’t have this set correctly. You can then set the “Artist” tag to match what each track should be, instead of Various Artists. No need to put the artist name in the title this way.

I have the album artist set to nothing for all of the tracks. I've noticed that in the GoneMAD app the album artist has been set to match artist - I assume the app adds that itself. But I've got other compilations where the album artist differs but they're still treated as a common album... except for in this one case. I've checked another album example - in my local tags Album Artist is unset, in GoneMAD Tag Editor the Album Artist is set and it always matches the Artist value, yet when one of more tags differ the album is still treated as a singular album. I can provide another image that shows the "Bollywood/Bhangra" album tag is different as well if you like, but I'm hoping that you'll take my word for it

Your tags don't follow the standard, so GMMP will only be able to distinguish where possible by guessing in some cases. Anything that has worked so far is by chance. The AlbumArtist tag will group Album titles together when they have the same name. The Artist tag is to allow you to show the individual track artists. The title tag should only need to have the actual track name, not with any artist details. It may also help to add the disc and track numbers as well so the tracks play in the expected order. I see you are already using mp3tag to manage your file tags. There is plenty of support there if you need guidance to manage your library. I use the same tagger to manage a library of well over 20k tracks.
