Let me start by complimenting you for this amazing app, I'm coming from Poweramp (because I could not fix stuttering issues) and I'm loving this app. While I was setting everything according to my preferences I encountered an issue which is quite frustrating (to me at least): there are some albums (single .flac file + .cue sheet) that are either not showing the album year tag or showing it but it won't change after I modify it in the .cue file. I've been trying to find a solution all day long, I went through the settings guide multiple times and I also looked in the forum to see if anyone had the same problem but I couldn't find anything. I'm attaching a couple of images to show you both the .cue file and what I see in the app. It doesn't matter what I write it will either appear 0 in the album year on the app for some albums or it will remain the same even if I change it for others (while there are some who work just fine, I don't know why). Just to be sure I checked on poweramp while making these changes and it always worked fine there. I can assure you that the .flac files and the .cue files are always in the same folder, if that might be helpful. I hope to find a solution since I'm really loving the app and I will buy the unlocker as soon as I fix this problem (yeah, I really want my albums to be sorted by date). Sorry for all these words but since english is not my first language I find it difficult to explain things in fewer words. Thank you and have a nice day!

It seems that if I change the album year through the app's tag editor it actually shows it properly and I couldn't be happier about it. That still doesn't explain why the year in some .cue files is not recognized whilst everything else is (like artist, album, track names etc.).
Edit: Deleting the database to make a new scan from zero actually makes the problem come back, so I don't think that the one above could be a solution tbh. (I was trying to solve another issue but I will open a new thread for it as soon as I wake up).

looks like the line that parses the year is expecting a full date with dashes. all my samples/test data must have been formatted that way. Thats definitely a bug.. it should at least attempt to parse the text into a number if there are no dashes.
Tag editor for cue is going to edit the database and the year in the audio file itself; it doesnt touch the cuefile. That sounds like it'll work for a short term workaround until i can get a fix in

If that's the case shouldn't this happen with all my .cue files since the dates I have are always just a number with no dashes? Edit: I just tried using dashes and it worked so that must be it
