Enqueuing an Album Artist doesn't follow the Album sorting selection below Album Artist. I have my Album Artist view set to sort by Album Artist with modifier Use Sort Tags. When I drill down into an Album Artist, I have the underlying Albums view set to sort by Album with modifier Use Sort Tags. If I enqueue an Album Artist (to play all albums by that artist), the albums are added to the queue as if modifier None is selected (i.e., strictly alphabetically by album name, not using sort tags). This seems incorrect, and I can find no workaround other than enqueuing albums manually one at a time. GMMP v3.0.7 enqueuing/playing an album artist is going to use the sort order used when you click on the album artist and look at the songs tab. The sort order of the songs is the order it will play/enqueue. Well, I set the Songs tab under Album Artist to sort by Album with modifier Use Sort Tags, and that list displays as expected. However, when I enqueue the artist from the context menu in the Album Artist list it still enqueues by album as if modifier None is selected (alphabetically, not by sort tag.).

In layout 2 when configuring the background, can an option to set a solid colour separately be added? Currently the options are Album Art, Blurred Art, and Off. But the Album Art choice can already be accomplished if you choose the Blurred options and move all sliders to the left. And choosing Off makes the background all the same as the accent I think (very bright and blending with other elements). Even if Off is solid black, I would think that would be more universally expected. Just a thought if it works.

off uses the primary color, not the accent

off uses the primary color, not the accent Check, it is primary, but still makes the main background pretty bright in most cases. I would expect a ghoice labelled Off to mean black. But it's ok, if you slide the brightness full left on either of the album settings it gets that result.

Was just curious how to turn off the swipe to delete feature in playlists. I prefer to remove stuff with the dropdown menu and I've accidentally removed a few things from playlists with the swipe.
My minor question aside, I haven't run into any bugs or anything lately, so thanks again for all the work you've put into this. The update has been great.

id have to add an option. can i ask how you accidentally swipe away something in a playlist? from what i recall it usually takes a blatant press and swipe away to get something to be removed

Oh it was quite easy I found, also just tested it again, it was slightly crooked downward/upward swipes trying to just scroll through the playlist quickly and it registered as a sideways swipe. It would be a nice option anyway at some point.

Hey, I am on v3.0.7 with Samsung S10. The widget not apperaing after rebooting was fixed, cool.
Currently, I am facing an issue when resuming music that has been paused for a while. Sometimes it just plays like 1 seconds and stops immediatly. It cannot be resumed then. The only thing that helps is to play the next song. I didn't figure out yet when this happens. If I just reboot my phone, this doesn't occur. So it's not directly related to reboots or not reboots only at least. Kind of weired.

I have this won't-resume-from-pause issue as well (3.0.7, Galaxy S10e, Android 11). It seemed to me that the failure to resume was correlated to how long play was paused. So I thought Android might be putting the app to sleep. I added GMMP to the "Never sleeping apps" list but that didn't fix the problem. Edit: I just found your post on "FYI on playback stopping" and following the Android 11 instructions on the linked page. I'll see if that fixes this issue.

the android 11 media controls are buggy. If the notification has a single button that is just a play button.. thats android doing that and not my app. I've found earlier versions of these media controls (which is probably what samsung is running) are buggy. Hitting play will start gmmp's music service and then immediately shut it down. If you launch the apps UI playback should work just fine (or play from a widget)
This is an android bug and there is nothing i can do to fix it unfortunately, however i believe its fixed on the android baseline. I dont recall seeing the issue on my pixel 4a anymore. so i'd assume other devices will eventually roll out the fix.
If both of you are not using the notification then let me know

This morning I was able to continue playing by pressing the play button on my Bluetooth speakers after not having played from GMMP since yesterday. That's the first time this has worked in a long time (I don't recall whether the GMMP 3 upgrade or the Android 11 upgrade was the most recent; they were within the same week). It appears that the "Never sleeping apps" setting isn't enough on Android 11 (or Samsung's version thereof) - you have to drill deeper, as the linked page instructs.

A small suggestion: It would be optically really nice to be able to pull the the minimized now playing bar and the overall now playing screen up & down to be able to switch between these 2 views (in a smooth transition like for example in the YouTube app). Greets

Greets not possible with the current UI design. now playing is a standalone fragment. The slide up you see when selecting the mini player is just a transition between 2 different fragments
