I'd like to use GMMP on my Fiio M6 music player, as it's the only Android app that I've found that handles very large mp3 collections well (I have around 6,000 mp3 albums). Currently the app is flagged as incompatible with the Fiio M6. Are there any plans to support it?

its not my choice to support fiio devices, but the answer would be no if it required any additional work on my part. i do not have the time nor desire to support specific non standard devices www.fiio.com/newsinfo/139014.htmlit looks like fiio limits what 3rd party apps will install on their device

OK I understand. As it happens, I found that the "all"/"amazon" version of your app does work on the Fiio M6, and works pretty well. The only small complaint is that if the player resumes from sleep/timeout the GMMP UI is unresponsive for about 10-15 seconds. Is there a setting in the app which might help to mitigate this problem?
FYI the latest Fiio M6 firmware has removed the restriction on 3rd party apps (in response to popular demand). This was really good news, as the default Fiio music player is nowhere near as good as GMMP.

Thanks for the suggestion. I turned off all auto-resume options in the settings. I still get the 10-sec delay before the GMMP UI responds after waking it from sleep. The native Fiio music app doesn't exhibit the same behaviour, so it doesn't seem to be an O/S-wide thing. Maybe Fiio have optimised their app to remain resident in memory, and this isn't possible for other apps (i.e. the delay is the O/S reloading GMMP into memory??) Is there anything else that you think might be worth trying?

i unfortunately do not have any suggestions for the delay on wakeup. GMMP already does all its processing on background threads. The wakeup / restoration process.. whatever you want to call it, is not something developers have any control over.
You could try using some like tasker to close gmmp on sleep and then open the app when the device wakes up maybe?

Interesting suggestion re. Tasker. As there's usually a track playing when I turn on the screen (and get the GMMP GUI delay) I wouldn't really want Tasker to have closed the app as it would terminate playback. Thanks anyway.
