Add Playing Info for current track's playback position

I would like to have playback position displayed (maybe using %pp%?). When play intent is received it would store current time, and then could update the display once a second with playback position (and other playing info configured)

Any chance that the source code could be made available? I looked for other apps that can show now playing information on the Daydream/Screensaver view, but didn't find any others that can show track length (let alone currently playing position)
