Purchased GoneMad for the Replay Gain feature and have used it for a couple of months now with no issues. All my music has Replay Gain tags.
In the last 1 or 2 weeks it seems like the player isn't respecting the Replay Gain levels anymore. I shuffle all of my music and am now having to constantly turn the volume up or down due to the audio level discrepancies, which is why I was using Replay Gain.
Anyone else having this issue? Replay Gain is enabled, no Album gain, and when I turn Replay Gain on and off to test I don't notice a volume change.

Edit: I got it working again after going to Android App Info and clearing the Data and Cache. Now when I enable and disable ReplayGain I can definitely notice it's working now.

just a general note, i log pretty much every change in the changelog. If something breaks and nothing related is mentioned in the changelog, clearing the cache or reinstalling typically fixes the issue. I do not know why android has such a tough time upgrading apps. I get the oddest bug reports that have nothing to do with anything i changed. The funniest one was i literally just fixed a typo and that was the only change.. and yet it still messed up some peoples installs of gmmp

First post, I am a new user evaluating GMMP and will most likely be buying it. I was pretty happy with Music Folder Player Full (paid) app except one thing -- lack of any type of Replaygain support and no commit or even expressed interest from the developer to try to add support for it. Just wanted to say thank you to Mirth -- even though it is a year and a half later -- for coming back and confirming that clearing the app cache and data fixed your problem of Replaygain not working after updating.I don't know why, but on a fresh install of 2.2.22 trial, after first attempt to configure my desired Album and scan folders and scan my library, Replaygain in GMMP didn't work. Before my first scan I had deleted my entire collection of FLAC's and MP3's from the 70's-80's Mix folder on my droid -- and used python rgain tools 1.3.4's (pip install rgain) replaygain util to force tag them all on my source/sync folder and copy them back to the droid. For this mix folder I did track replaygain scanning/tagging only, no album tags. Will do album tagging on my albums folder structure. I had already tried deleting and re-scanning the database, no dice. Anyway, after finding this post, I thought why not give it a try. I deleted GMMP's data and cache from the Apps section of settings, and after reconfiguring settings again and rescanning my files, it works now. You can hear the difference immediately when toggling the main Enable ReplayGain checkbox while my mix folder is playing. Not sure why but if it matters, I set the ReplayGain settings the way I wanted them before doing the new db scan. Now if I can just figure out how to completely get rid of album art in notifications and another thing or two, this could be the beginning of a bootiful relationship. Thanks again, 24junkie
