...on my S4 Mini with JB 4.2.2 rooted. My hope is to have a floating window containing something like what shows in notifications. This is what FN ME can do? For example, if GMMP is now playing ELO as in screenshot, and notifications are set to show as in adjacent screenshot, then Rob J's Floatifications should be able to do what I wish. Or, do I need Halo support? The only way I was able to get ANYthing to float was to *pin* GMMP in Floatification settings. But that only gives ability to launch GMMP, nothing else, even though I also set it to show action buttons as indicated in this partial screenshot: Of course, I enabled both Floatifications and FNME in Accessibility settings, and no other items enabled. Maybe my device or OS can not support FN? If this approach continues to fail for me, my next try will be to go with a split screen via the Xposed module call'd XMultiWindow. Any help, suggestions, thoughts, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Edit - It suddenly started working, right after using the stock Samsung 'Music' app by way of the home screen widget I use, call'd Plug In Music Widget. When I tap'd the >| (next track) button, PlayerPro launch'd! Additional press's on the same >| button advanced the track, but it stay'd in PlayerPro and did not index the song title or artist, even though the next song was playing. Edit#2 - Apparently, the floating note is taking song title and artist from Samsung Music, while the action buttons control PlayerPro. Arrgh. The player I'd like to use it for is GMMP, and only GMMP if possible. Maybe I need to blacklist other players.

playerpro seems to be intercepting the media button intents so you will either need to complain to the dev to properly register his app as media button event receiver ONLY when his app is playing audio, or uninstall it. developer.android.com/training/managing-audio/volume-playback.html (gmmp registers as the sole receiver.. so if another app is doing that as well and you are not using it.. it should be uninstalled) you should be able to disable samsung music as well leaving GMMP as the only thing broadcasting its playing info. Being stuck on 4.2.2 really limits what you can do. Anything pre 4.4 solely relies on the correct intents broadcasted from music players. Many players use the same intents so there is no way to filter out which one takes precedence
