velocity based volume control is actually a really great idea.. im surprised there isnt anything else on the market that does that. I'm curious whether the sensors on the device would be enough to determine a general velocity.. or would gps be needed. I have to be careful about what permissions i include for gmmp, but there is always the option of having a separate application (which would be free to all gmmp users of course) that could manage the volume. on another note I think i found a solution for the weird focus issues for honeycomb and newer Nice! Great news, looking forward to the next versions!

Amazing work with the new skin! Two things I'd like to give feedback on: 1) The small ICS circle that indicates the track position gets cut off by the text 0:00 at the start of the song. Included a picture to show you what I mean. 2) The ability to swipe left and right to control the tabs up the top. So you have 'Now Playing, 'Playlist', 'Artist'. If you could swipe between those tabs, much like ICS functionality. Cheers and thanks for listening!

1) yea i've got that on a few devices and had to adjust. What size display do you have / device.
2) Swiping is planned but in order to do that I have to convert all the activities(views) to use fragments (something introduced in the newer version of the sdk). Its a fairly large undertaking so instead of delaying the release even longer.. I am just going to work it into a future release.
I also dont know exactly how it is going to work with the gesture system i have setup for now playing (you can swipe left/right/up/down to control playback)

I have the HTC Sensation. Resolution is 540 x 960.
I had a play around with making my own apps and totally understand about the swiping ordeal.
If possible you could add it into the list of current gestures, so you could assign it like you would moving a track forward and back. Not too sure if this is possible, just a thought.

yeah could do that. I could possibly limit the swipeable area in nowplaying.. all the other views would be pretty straight forward to swipe

okay the circle thing being cut off seems to be something with 4.0.3 Running 4.0 in the emulator shows it fine but when i started a 4.0.3 it was cut off... since i can reproduce it.. i can fix it!

It cuts on 3.2.1 (HoneyComb) too. Now, a couple of questions: I'd like the "Previous" button to go to the current-song start and not to play the previous song right away, unless current song played time is < 3 seconds. Is it something we can do already? And I'd really like a built-in voice announcer for Artist/Songtitle/Both/Whatever, I tried other third party apps but they all work badly. I mean, I'd like that because I would configure English speaking text-to-speech for GMMP only since most of my songs have English names (and not for Italian language, which is system default). What do you think? EDIT: options menu working fine.

i dont believe i put in a setting to change the previous button behavior.. but i get what you are saying and i can look into it
how would you use a text to speech thing in a music player.. when a new song plays it would say the artist and track name?

Yes, I'd like the player to announce trackname or artist or both or whatever you may want to hear. For the previous button, thanks for your investigation (and maybe implementation).

Hi again, I asked this a while ago, but thought I'd revisit it since ICS may have made a difference. The option to have a play/pause and a next song button in the notification area. Previously you had said this was impossible and the HTC music player only managed this because it was integrated into the system. However, downloading Google Music allows you to do this (I presume this isn't installed as a system app) Is this Google being fancy and using closed source code to do this or has ICS changed how we can implement notifications? Thanks again!

be sure to update to 1.2 on the market, you may have to do it manually if you have the beta installed (auto update wont work until you get the version on the market i think)
