Using GMMP 2.2.21 on a Samsung S8 and syncing with the MusicBee (MB) WiFi app. (And sometimes MB's wired sync.)
I noticed that there were some duplicate tracks showing in GMMP and weren't duplicated in MB. Without investigating further, I did a long-press on one of the dupes and confirmed that I wanted to delete it. And -both- tracks disappeared. I did this with the other 3-4 tracks showing duplicates in this album and each time -both- of the tracks disappeared. A user in the MB forum stated he too is seeing this every since starting to use MB's WiFi sync. He noticed that one of the duplicated tracks showed a dash instead of the time.
Ever since deleting these dupes, I have not been able to sync, either wired or WiFi. Thinking the dupe problem was a funky database, I executed a 'clean database' which didn't allow me to sync. Then I deleted the database and waited for it to rebuild. Then rebooted the S8 and tried syncing. After about twenty minutes of MB trying to find the files to sync, I force stopped and rebooted the S8. I also rebooted the PC.
I have raised the sync issue on the MB forum and since it's possible the dupe issue is coming from GMMP, I raised that here.
Any insight would be appreciated.
EDIT: Steven at MB just posted a new WiFi update which he says may help. And he says if it doesn't, he's got one more idea to try. I will report back once I've tested his updated release(s).

so on android a single file can be represented via multiple file names. GMMP's database will use whatever folders are set in the scanner, but they can be represented under another filename. That is the only way to get duplicates in GMMP example: /sdcard/Music and /storage/emulated/0/Music represent the same folder. GMMP's backup file will contain the exact path that is used in gmmp's database, so the MB dev could use that as reference for what paths to use android.stackexchange.com/questions/205430/what-is-storage-emulated-0
