u'd need to start the scanner service (FileScanService) with the intent "gonemad.gmmp.filescanservice.auto_scan"

u'd need to start the scanner service (FileScanService) with the intent "gonemad.gmmp.filescanservice.auto_scan" Thanks it's working. But when starting it this way, there's no notification from the service (no big deal though, just wanted to mention it). I assume it isn't possible to only scan a specific folder (not a whole scan) this way?

Full_scan doesn't give a notification, either. But it isn't really a problem to have no notification.
Does the scanning of a specific path only work?

those intents will scan whatever paths are set in the scanner
there is a gonemad.gmmp.filescanservice.quick_scan that takes a string extra with the key "quick_scan_folder" that will scan a specific folder.. however its not recursive (wont go into sub folders)

Sorry I found it in the Tasker manual:
Have to put the "quick_scan_folder:%folder" in the "extra" field of the intent.
%folder is the variable to declare the folder.

Okai as I got some time, I spent again a bit at the intents:
- I'm getting a notification with the auto_scan intent now -> I just forgot to add gonemad.gmmp in the package field of the intent (so the intent hasn't done anything at all without this)
- The other intents full_scan and quick_scan don't seem to work, as they aren't present in the GMMP Manifest.xml either

others may not work.. calling an intent from within the app doesnt require it to be in the manifest. I was just listing whatever the scanner responded to. i dont personally ever try to trigger anything externally

The Scanner intent gonemad.gmmp.filescanservice.auto_scan doesnt work anymore in the newest Beta. I tried gonemad.gmmp.action.SCAN (as seen in the manifest), but no luck either. Is there a way to call the Intent in the beta and could you pass me over the new intent?

works just fine for me. adb shell am broadcast -a "gonemad.gmmp.action.SCAN" -n "gonemad.gmmp/.receivers.ExternalControlReceiver"
