1.4 is now out and available on google play

GMMP is now going into a heavy testing phase that will last a week or 2, so get the translations updated sometime during that period. If you would like to see the updated translations in the app before the final release send me an email and i'll do a custom build for you

Release Candidate:

1.4 RC1:
-Fixed crash in 4.2 when trying to play back certain mp3 files
-Selecting a smart playlist will now follow the "Playlist - Play on Select" preference
-Updated Spanish and Italian translations
-Fixed some instances where the seekbar would return to its original position for a split second right after seeking
-Fixed jump to playing folder when "Start In Playing Folder" is disabled

1.4 Beta 5 (12/19/12)
-ASC and DESC now work properly in smart playlists
-Added completely customizable metadata lines for now playing
-Fixed order by crash in smart playlists
-Fixed issue where decreasing the volume using a gesture would change the volume 2 steps instead of 1
-Fixed jump to playing folder bug when the playing song is in the root folder
-Fixed bug in file browser that would prevent you from going back to the previous folder

Alright this is what everyone has been waiting for. Smart playlists. I did most of the testing for this on a 4.1 device so there may be some bugs here and there. Keep in mind any ratings / playcounts will be erase if you wipe the database. I do plan on adding a way to keep this persistent or have a way to backup that info

Plan forward:
There will be one more update before I push this to google play. The RC (release candidate) will only have a few minor additions like the advanced now playing metadata customization and some replacements to the resampling code so audio files higher than 48khz can finally be played back. The skins will also be updated

edit: the resampling/higher than 48khz will probably have to wait.. what i had planned is not working like i expected

Nothing too major in this update. Just a lot of minor things I've been wanting to implement for awhile. Beta 4 will have the first version of the smart/dynamic playlists.

I'm sure many of you are waiting on the smart playlists and ratings and they will come.. they will come. For now i'm getting a lot of the easier / quicker features done first. Beta 2 does include a feature asked for by many: the ability to reorder the views in the navigation bar.

Note: Downloadable skins will no longer work with this version. Later in the beta when all the UI changes are done I will update them all.
